ABOUT
I am a Helsinki Finland based freelance photographer, BMX and MTB rider, engineer, music and outdoor enthusiast, and yes a proud dad of a teenage boy. While these roles might seem like a diverse mix, they’ve all played a part in shaping the photographer I am today.
My passion for photography began with the love for capturing the world around me, especially the dynamic energy of extreme sports and artistic talents and friends. Over the past 15 years I have worked across lifestyle magazine features, creative studio portraits, record covers, fashion catalogues, and branding campaigns for notable brands such as Reima, Karhu, Pure Waste and Silmäasema...
I don’t like to box myself into one specific style or set of rules. My approach is fluid and evolving, but one thing I do care about deeply is maintaining a distinct sense of style. I’m not quick to follow trends. I prefer to let my work develop naturally, creating images that resonate with authenticity. So far, I’ve ended up loving what I do. For me, photography is all about balance of leaving room for the unexpected, while still maintaining a vision.
Even in highly planned shoots, I believe it’s essential to stay open minded and connected with the vibe of the moment. Whether I’m working solo or as part of a team, I’ve learned that the best results often come from a mix of preparation, spontaneity, and collaboration.
Working alongside videographers or larger film crews has become second nature, and I’ve honed the ability to get the most out of it. That said, whether I'm shooting in a studio or on location, I’ve always enjoyed the entire process from scouting the perfect spot and finding the light, to executing the idea and seeing it come to life.
